Isibani Award Nominations

Each year at the Lula B. Sherman - Fisk University Choir concert we honor community luminaries with the Isibanis. Isibani is the Zulu word for beacon or lamp. The Isibani is given to honor those that have made extraordinary contributions to our community and culture - those that are beacons of light, who have led the way and made others’ lives better.

As members of our congregation, you have unique insight into the remarkable individuals in our community. Your nominations help us recognize those who may not always receive the spotlight they deserve but whose contributions make our community stronger.
